Baby should always be visible!
If you are carrying a newborn and the panel is too high, check your waistband first. Ensure that it is ‘apron style,’ and folded a second time for newborns. Bring baby to your body and pay special attention to their bum and legs, open hips against your torso and feet pointing out and away, knees up higher than bum. Roll the panel up baby’s back, fasten chest strap and adjust underarm straps slightly tighter. Then lean forward and reach into the carrier to adjust baby’s feet and hips once more, helping them to rotate so that their spine can form a gentle C. Snug the shoulder straps completely and then fold the top curve of the panel down as needed.
